Easy Input
Feedback and Suggestions:
The rationale for this instructional site was described in detail.
The designer gave
the instruction about what to do to watch the movie. The learners can control
and pause the movie.
Cartoon is always
good motivation. Perhaps some cartoons could be included to lighten up the site.
Since you have video
files for learners to view, there's a need to indicate what kind of video
players (in this case, real player) must be downloaded for viewing.
The designer of the
site also provided the locations to download the input software as well as
additional learning manuals.
The copyright term
was provided.
The instruction of site is designed in Chinese, which is appropriate because of
the nature of the topic.
The information given
is complete. Such as sources like the provider of the materials, the best
resolution for viewing the website.
There is a page on
"What's New."
The introduction and
guideline is clearly written.
The designer
integrated this video into her instructional website later on.
The software
downloading sites are also provided for users' easy access. So they are not
learning input software which they have no access to.
For interactivity,
the discussion forum and Frequently-Asked Questions are provided.
A site map is also
created to guide the users.
The exercises created
by Hot Potatoes cannot be easily found on the menu on the left. It is seen
embedded on the page of instruction and on the sitemap only. The designer plans
for the learners to take the exercise after they have gone through the
instruction; however, this is not accessible if advanced learners want to try
the exercises directly.
