Welcome to Listening Comprehension with the News, produced by Marian Chen with the help of current assistant, Judy Yang and the other assistants, Ken Tseng and Evelyn Fang. The website is sponsored by Fu-Jen University and Ministry of Education, Taipei Hsien, Taiwan. We would like to especially thank ICRT for authorizing us to use their news broadcasts.

This website provides students with ICRT news broadcasts to improve their listening and reading ability. Each news report provides five sections of practice: listening to the news, taking the choice questions, reading the news script, taking the fill-in and the crossword puzzles. The choice questions are designed to check student's listening comprehension; the fill-in and the crossword puzzles are for students to familiarize themselves with word expression after they read the news script. Each exercise provides grade to stimulate students' achievement.

Listening Comprehension with the News is copyright 2002 by Marian Chen, English Instructor of General Foreign Languages, Fu Jen Catholic University. The website is only available for Fu-Jen current students and faculty members.
