Christmas Celebration  

Purpose: to give students a chance to make their Christmas wishes applying the
S+V+IO+DO sentence pattern
Tools needed : cards, CD player or tape recorder
Procedures:
1. First, the instructor can play or ask the class to sing together "We Wish You a Merry Christmas" to start the celebration.
2. Second, the instructor introduces the  S+V+IO+DO sentence pattern. (Reference: Sentence Pattern We Wish You a Merry Christmas)
3.Third, the instructor divides the class into groups of  3 or 4.
4.Fourth, the instructor demands the students to jot down their wishes on cards.
5.Fifth, the instructor invites each group to share their work with the class.
(Note: The class may collect and hang those "wish cards" on the Christmas tree if they have one in the classroom.)
