Rural and Urban Development

Where do you want to live in, village or in the city? In Taiwan, most of people live in the city, especially in the capital. More than two million people reside in Taipei. However, do all the citizens live here for their enjoyment? I think the answer must be no. Then, what attracts people to choose to live in the city rather than living in the village? To get to know the answer, we have to know the rural and urban development.

When it comes to the city, we often think of its bright side. For example, the information here is always up-to-date. The citizens can get immediate information they want to know. In addition, there are more opportunities of work for people to strive for. No matter what you want to do, you can obtain enough information about  job here. Nevertheless, polluted air, crowed traffic, as well as dirty and massive living environment make people feel disappointed about the city. How to promote the level of the living quality in the city is the most concerned issue to the government.

On the other hand, the situation that people live in the village is completely different. They live there with beautiful natural view, fresh air, and relaxing lifestyle. Unlike the urban citizens who have more pressure with their live, people there enjoy their daily life with full spiritual satisfaction. However, they have less public construction, like the MRT, than people in the city. Besides, information is slow in circulation. They may have to come to the city only to buy a new magazine. Therefore, many youngest would rather live in the city than village.

What worthy to look forward to is that the government is working on balancing the two regions. To sum up, no matter where you live, the most important thing is trying to enjoy your daily life.
