Recently our planet experienced a catastrophic disaster. A devastating earthquake created a massive and lethal tsunami.     Here is some useful advice on how to deal with and help victims of disastrous tragedies. First, make the fundamental decision to get involved. Commit yourself to helping the needy. Realize that it¡¦s your responsibility to give the helpless a hand. Take action now because ¡§actions always speak louder than words.¡¨

Second, give money right away. Donate as much as you can and do it as soon as possible. Urge, encourage and persuade everyone you know to pitch in and be generous. Money is the most useful and most important source of relief. Third, volunteer to help in any way possible. Either join an aid organization or form your own disaster support group. There are many ways to contribute, such as holding fundraisers and collecting donated items. Fourth, remember to continue giving assistance long after the disaster has struck. Don¡¦t quit after a few weeks. Disasters assistance is long-term endeavor.

Finally, we should pray for every victim. We must ask God to bless both the deceased and the survivors. Let¡¦s also hope and pray we¡¦ll be better prepared for the next disaster and that our ¡§global village¡¨ will work together as one! Remember the famous song, ¡§We Are The World!¡¨
