The wise use of human rights and freedom

“Freedoms are the right that all human beings born to have. However, we often gratuitously interfere in the freedoms of other people in the name of love.” This sentence came from a book which was written by an author who pursued democracy and freedom. Freedom, in another word, is human rights. Ideal human rights represent people to achieve their interests. It’s the product universalized by the people from different classes pursuing their dreams to be true.

Nowadays, groups to support human rights protect freedom to emphasize the importance of human rights in many countries. In fact, most of these countries respect human rights, and provide certain freedom for people, and protect the right of the disadvantaged. However, certain countries do not respect human rights, such as the countries governed by communist party. Besides, certain developing countries are in chaos and unrest. Although, human rights groups try to protect the freedom and human rights in these countries, these countries not only ignore it, but they also hamper the activities of human rights groups there. It not only an obstacle for human rights development, but also a false move for these countries because the development of human rights not only benefits these countries but also makes them progress in many aspects.

However, does excessive freedom benefit a country? Observing certain current democratic countries, we might see some problems. In these democratic countries, there are many demonstrations, street protests and riots. People do these things to protect justice, generally acknowledging truth and their rights. We can not say these demonstrations are wrong. After all, it’s one way people speak for themselves and demonstrate human rights. While demonstrations spoil a society making it tainted, their petitions become the problems of abusing freedom.

Excessive freedom development or abusing freedom is the degeneracy of democracy. Freedom is to respect the fundamental rights of human beings and to get along with people peacefully. It’s not to do whatever you want in any circumstance. The author mentioned before once also said, “Set your love free, which is democratic spirit; set your abhorrence free, which is decent spirit; we should have everyone remember it in mind.” This short sentence is very important and it’s the goal every human rights group wants to achieve. We should respect the genuine spirit of freedom but never ever to abuse it. Only by doing so, we can make this world in peace and progress.
