   Piracy in Taiwan

¡@
¡@     When you wander through a night market, you will be surprised by the large amount of pirated goods. In Taiwan, piracy is very common and overflowing. There is a good example, Kuro. Even I use it to download the MP3s. Why is Kuro so popular these days? There are some reasons about it. First, by spending less money, we can earn limitless MP3s. Second, we don¡¦t have to go out to buy a CD. We can just stay at home and remain online to get the music. Third, we can find any kind of music at our fingertips. Almost everyone wants to save his money so he downloads music from the net. It is called ¡§piracy¡¨. ¡@
¡@     The law of intellectual-property in Taiwan is not respected. Most people don¡¦t know what is intellectual-property law and don¡¦t know how serious about piracy. The government should strengthen the law and let people know piracy is illegal. But it is very difficult to boycott pirated goods. Piracy has already flooded in our daily life. We cannot cut off this. Nine to ten of my friends have bought pirated goods; ten to ten of my friends know about piracy. This high rate reflects that young people think piracy is not a big deal. So the government should find an effective solution to solve this problem. ¡@
¡@     Piracy in my mind is not a big deal, either. Although I tell myself this is a wrong thing. I can¡¦t stop myself to download the music or buy pirated goods. Piracy seems to be a trend, not only in Taiwan but also worldwide. We should find a way to balance between the pirated one and the original one to replace prohibition. Because piracy has already fused with our life, there must be a way to satisfy everybody.  ¡@
