Problems for a newcomer

A newcomer always gets in trouble. In a brand- new surrounding, everything is strange, and you even have to adjust to the new life. That sounds difficult to suffer it. On the other hand, everything is fresh, you can learn you have never learned, and you will see you have never seen. Just like being in another world, how wonderful experience it would be, wouldn’t it? In short, happiness and pain are mixed up in a newcomer’s life.

We are the newcomers in the university, that is, we are “freshman”. Certainly, we know nothing about the college life indeed. At the starting month, seniors took care of the newcomers, and taught you how to be a genuine college student. “There are three things you must do in these fours years. They are love, club and your study,” seniors said. There are still many things we have to handle and experience by ourselves, though.

Take my experience as example. College life is everything but not easy. Because I can’t pass the standards of dorm application, I just rent a studio nearby the school. At the first week, I could totally experience the hardness of living alone. Without parents’ care, I had to do much housework by myself. Of all the housework, the most troublesome was clothes washing. Even washing underwear manually, it could take me much time. I should have treasured the life living with my family in the past. Furthermore, school life is completely different from my imagination. I thought college life should be more relaxing than high school life, but I am wrong. At least, in German department of FJU, students have to review the chapters that professors teach everyday.  If you just don’t do this for one day, you will fall behind. Before the middle exam, I took part in student clubs three days a week. As a consequence, I got many poor scores. To sum up, no one will remind you what you have to do in college. Your time is free and belongs to you. What’s more important is you have to arrange your time wisely, or you will lose many things.

I am still a newcomer in college and still have many problems with my life. But, I will solve them step by step. After overcoming all the problems and troubles, I know I shall be more advanced than before. After all, all the newcomers get problems and troubles in a strange and new environment. Remember, don’t try to escape from it, just face the music, ad find the way to solve it.
