Bargain

AHello, everybody!

B&C&DHi, Lynn!~

CLong time no see. How are you

ANot bad, and you, Michelle

CFine.

AWhat are you talking aboutMay I join you

DOf course. We are talking about summer vacation.

AIt sounds great.

BYeah~ do you have any plan about summer vacation

AWell~ I do not know. Maybe I just stay at home. How about yours, Michelle?

CI am planning to find a part-time job, because I want to buy a new cell phone.

AWow~ That’s cool. How about you, Tim

BOh~ I have to stay at home and study all day long.

AReallyI am sorry to hear that.

DDon’t be sad. I will bring some souvenir for you.

ASouvenirAre you planning to travel abroad, Eric?

DYes! You’re right! I will go to Thailand this summer.

BHow cool. Thailand’s traditional market is very famous. You can find many good
things there. But the vendors always give you an expensive price. You should
bargain with them. Don’t forget that.

AYou should never accept the first price that the seller tells you because you could
lose other opportunities for less cost.

CA typical question that a buyer asks when he sees a product is: how much will
you sell it to me for and then the bargaining begins until a price is agreed upon.

DI know that. I am not stupid, ok But sometimes, I cannot bargain with sellers.
For example, in department store nobody will bargain there.

CYeah. But you should remember. Once a price has been agreed upon it is
considered very rude to refuse to make the purchase, so make up your mind if
you really want to buy the goods you are bargaining for and on how much you
are willing to pay for it.

AIf you or vendor does not agree with the price finally, you can pretend to be
leaving. Sometimes the vendor will call you back. And you can buy it as you
     wish.

DThat sounds great. I will buy souvenir for you all, my good friends.

BI should tell you. People usually bargain for shoes, clothes, and souvenir. But no
one bargain for food. That is not necessary when you’re hungry or you love the
     taste.

DOh~ Thank you very much. Thank you for your suggestion.

A:(look at the watchWow~ It is so late. I have to go home now.

BMe, too. See you.

CBye-bye

DGood bye.
