Piracy in Taiwan

¡@
¡@

A: What are you doing these days?

¡@
¡@

B: I found an interesting program, Kuro. I have downloaded a lot of music form
    that.

¡@
¡@

A: I had heard about Kuro. Why Kiro is so popular recently?

¡@
¡@

B: I think the first reason is that audiences spend less money to hear limitless
mp3s. The second reason is that we don¡¦t have to go out to buy a CD. We
can just stay at home and stay on line to enjoy the music. The last reason is
that you can find any kind of music as quickly as lightening.

¡@
¡@

A: Wow! It¡¦s so cool. No wonder almost everyone likes it. But, is it piracy?

¡@
¡@

B: I am not sure. What is piracy?

¡@
¡@

A: Piracy is kind of illegal copying or broadcasting. It also means you break the
    law of intellectual- property.

¡@
¡@

B: That sounds very serious. Will I be arrested?

¡@
¡@

A: I don¡¦t think so. This law in Taiwan is not honored dutifully. The government
should strengthen the law and let people know piracy is illegal and immoral.

¡@
¡@

B: Yes, I agree. But it is very difficult to boycott the pirated goods. Piracy has
already flooded in our life. We can¡¦t cut off this. Almost my friends know the
    pirated goods and buy them.

¡@
¡@

A: So the government should find a way to satisfy everybody. Piracy seems to
be a trend, not only in Taiwan but also worldwide.

¡@
¡@

B: Piracy is a trend. We should find a way to balance between piracy and
original creation to replace entire prohibition.

¡@
¡@

A: That¡¦s right!

¡@
¡@

B: Well, I think I have to restrict myself to buy the pirated goods.

¡@
¡@

A: That¡¦s good thing. I will watch you.
