	Joy:	Why do you like traveling so much?
	Ellen:	I think there’s no one who doesn’t like traveling. We can make ourselves relaxed and broaden our horizons. Traveling in our homeland can make us understand about our country. Besides, traveling around the world can even make our mentality grow up.
	Joy:	Have you gone to many places?
	Ellen:	Mum….yeah! I have gone to New York for Broadway, to Egypt for Pyramid and Sphinx, to Italy for that wonderful works of art, and so forth.
	Joy:	Do you always join prepackaged tour group?
	Zoe:	No…! Actually I prefer traveling independently to joining a prepackaged tour. If you choose prepackaged tour, you have to follow the arranged journey. Traveling independently, on the other hand, allows you to arrange your trip on your own . It gives you the freedom to plan your own itinerary according to your personal interests and habits. And traveling independently is really unpredicted and unlimited. You can stay where you want and stay there as long as you like.
	Joy:	I’m going to take an independent trip recently. Could you give me some advice?
	Zoe:	Well…first, do not travel alone. Safety is very important. If you have a company, you will not feel helpless when accident takes place. It also sharpens your English when you have someone to consult with. It’s useful no matter you ask for directions or buy for goods. Finally, know the place where you are going to. There are traveling and guidebooks talking about many attractions. These books will provide you with information about what to eat, where to shop, and to stay. You can take notes on attractions where you are interested in. You will find those notes help a lot during your trip. The more preparations you make, the more fun you have.
