¡@ 1. What are the differences between traditional and non-traditional students on university campuses? ¡@
¡@ A: The traditional students are aged between 18 to 23. But the non-traditional
students often are older than the traditional students.  The non-traditional
students often have family and work. They go to school to get high grades to make
them work smoothly. Traditional students always go home when the classes are
over, but the non-traditional students join clubs after classes.  Traditional
students are conservative, but non-traditional students are opposite. Traditional
students wear plain clothes; however, non-traditional students wear clothes in
    fashion.

¡@ 2. What are the reasons for students to study abroad? ¡@
¡@ A: Studying abroad makes students study better.  They may not like schools in their
country, but some foreign countries have better teachers, campus, equipments or
resources. Besides, they want to live in a different place to make themselves have
a different cultural exposure if their family is rich.
¡@
¡@ ¡@ ¡@
¡@ A: The followings are the reasons for students to study abroad:  To begin with, some
students want to study more in the fields they major in. They love getting
profound knowledge from professor¡¦s lectures or textbooks. In addition, they may
get good jobs if they graduate from foreign universities or colleges. Besides, they
would like to elevate their English abilities while studying abroad.
¡@
¡@ ¡@ ¡@
¡@ A: Many students who want to study abroad have many reasons.  Studying in other
countries can be in touch with different cultures and different life experiences.
Maybe they like to learn some high-tech information; they have to come to some
modern nations like the U.S.A.  One more reason is ¡§money¡¨. High education in
some countries costs a lot and expensive, so students in those countries have to
    study abroad.
¡@
¡@ ¡@ ¡@
¡@ A: First, the students may want the experience of living in a foreign country.
Secondly, the discipline that the student wants to study is not available in the
student¡¦s home country.  So, some companies or government send their best
students to another country to bring back new technology and knowledge. Finally,
the education may cost too much for the student to afford.  The student thus must
seek the less expensive options in another country.
¡@
¡@ ¡@ ¡@
¡@ A: These foreign students may study abroad for learning another language, knowing
other cultures, getting different information and ideas from other students,
studying the subjects that their country are not available or getting the degree of
the university for the special career.
¡@
¡@ ¡@ ¡@
¡@ A: Students go abroad to study due to these reasons:
    a. They want to learn another language.
    b. They want to save money if tuition in their country is expensive.
    c. They want to get the experience of studying different cultures in foreign
        countries.
    d. Some schools allow students to study abroad for getting new information and
        new knowledge.
¡@
¡@ ¡@ ¡@
¡@ A: Undergraduates often want to experience life of new culture.  Maybe they want to
learn another language well in school or in real life. Some students want diploma
in business and technology.  These subjects are not always available in their
countries.  Some governments or companies send their best graduates or workers
abroad to study new technology or knowledge.
¡@
¡@ ¡@ ¡@
¡@ 3. What are the reasons for universities to accept foreign students? ¡@
¡@ A: First, universities like to introduce ¡§internationalism¡¨ into the campus.  Foreign
students bring different cultures, ideas and traditions into the campus life.
Second,  universities need money.  Local students are usually subsidized by the
governments.  Foreign students, on the other hand, are usually required to pay full
tuition since they are not immigrants or citizens.  The students also require
housing, food, and recreation. These needs also represent another source of
    income for the universities.
¡@
¡@ ¡@ ¡@
¡@ A: The main reason of universities to accept foreign students is to achieve
international cultural exchange. That is to say, foreign
students in campus can
discuss and share their ideas with local students . It is a positive way to make the
    world more peaceful. Maybe there
will be no racial discrimination in the future.
Besides that, the universities want foreign students to pay off full tuitions and
fees which is a way to build better campus.
¡@
¡@ ¡@ ¡@
¡@ A: I think there are two main reasons why universities accept foreign students.  First,
foreign students bring along different cultures and different learning styles to their
fellow students. They also make the school life more colorful. Second, they bring
extra tuitions to universities so that universities can make more money in addition
to those income collected from their own students.
¡@
¡@ ¡@ ¡@
¡@ A: Universities accept foreign student because they have more worldwide knowledge;
they are usually full of creative and new ideas. Also, their academic abilities are
better than local students since they are selected through strict screening
admission procedures. In this way, foreign students have more experiences than
local students. Furthermore, they have more knowledge on the subjects they are
    studying.
¡@
¡@ ¡@ ¡@
¡@ A: The reasons that universities accept foreign students are:
    a. Foreign students let their students know different cultures and ideas.
    b. Students can understand many kinds of cultures and customs from foreign
nations to broaden their value system.
    c. Students can learn how to get together with foreign people from whom they
learn different pieces of information to upgrade their knowledge.
    d. They have the chance to compete with foreign students at study. The
competition can raise their study ability.
    e. People from different countries have different personalities. Students can learn
the personality merits from foreign students and know their own weakness. This
learning experience helps local students to grow mature. They learn to tolerate
and respect different ideas and values. They also gain confidence in themselves
        and trust on people.

¡@ 4. What do you prefer in student life? ¡Vformal lectures and atmosphere or informal group work with discussion of ideas and opinions? Why? ¡@
¡@ A: I prefer formal lectures and its atmosphere because every student studies in
different departments and takes different courses. We meet each other just a few
days a week. Besides, everyone has his or her own lifestyle so that the chance we
meet is barely zero. Accordingly, we don¡¦t have much time to discuss and prepare
lessons by ourselves before coming to class. On the other hand. it helps our study
that the handouts are well-organized by teachers so that we can study well under
his or her guidance. We don¡¦t have to struggle hard to find out what is right of our
learning. We often are confused because we don¡¦t know how to study efficiently to
take the examines successfully. But we take notes from teacher¡¦s lectures. We go
home and study the notes and textbooks. Then we pass the examines.
¡@
¡@ ¡@ ¡@
¡@ A: I prefer informal group work with discussion of ideas and opinions because I can
tell people what I think and my opinions. At the same time, I learn ideas different
from mine. I can learn many different ideas. It increases my knowledge. Besides, I
like to be free. I don¡¦t like to be told what I should say and how to say it right. But
I agree that freedom of speech takes time before we can say good ideas to inspire
    people.
