  a. It can be a noun, noun phrase. noun clause and pronoun.

            For example:   They names the baby Joseph.   (noun).

  b. It can be an infinitive. 

          For example:   I can't get anyone to paint the house. (infinitive)

  c. It can be an adjective. 

        For example:    The man painted the house green. (adjective)
