By the end of the course, students should be able to:

·        Use English to write down what they think and gain control over the basics of grammar, spelling, and punctuation;

·        Write English sentences in which correctness and basic readability are the concern;

·        Write a paragraph with the topic sentence, supporting ideas, and concluding sentence;

·        Shift in their attitude toward writing and be confident in expressing themselves in written English;

·        Feel free to step up to the larger goal of participating in more advanced writing courses in the future.
