     以你問這個問題, 要不是公車站沒標示, 要不就是公車誤點太久, 讓
     你等得發慌. 不論如何, 你可以說:

Excuse me. Do you know when the next bus is coming?
打擾一下. 你知道下一班公車何時會來嗎?

若非常不幸地, 你乾等半天的原因, 是因為漏看了告示板上的「週末除外」except weekends的字眼, 這時得趕快問:

A:在問人地方時我想說: 請問這裡是什麼地方? 如果你說: Where is
here?這樣說法是錯的.

你可以說: Where am I ? 我在哪裡? (o)

其實你可以把問題說得精確一點, 讓人比較知道要怎麼回答, 不然問「我在哪裡?」對方要是說「地球.」你也不能說他錯啊! 所以, 若想知道所在城市的名字, 可以問:

What city is this? 這是哪個城市？

若要問街道名: What street is this? 這條街叫什麼?

若想知道眼前這個地方的名稱: What's the name of this park? 這個公園叫什麼名字?

Q: 緊急狀況, 如何叫計程車司機載我去醫院?

A: 在交通擁擠時段, 計程車司機不肯載客, 但我急著去醫院. 我想說:
     司機, 這對我非常重要. 如果不趕去我會後悔. 可以載我一程嗎? 我
     要這樣說: Driver, it is very important for me. If I can't get there,
      I'll be sad. Could you take me to the hospital? (Well, this
      sounds like the lines from a movie.)   遇到「緊急事件 emergency,
     你可以說它是件「生死攸關的事」a life or death situation, 任何人
     都能了解這件事有多重要.

此外, 建議先說要去哪裡, 因為你那拐彎抹角的說法, 遇到沒耐性的司機, 可能聽到一半就揚長而去了. 所以, 下次你可以說:

Driver, this is an emergency. 司機先生, 這是緊急事件.

Could you please rush me to the hospital? 能麻煩你趕緊送我
到醫院嗎?

This is a life or death situation. 這是生死攸關的事.

I'd appreciate your help. 我非常感激你的協助.

    的厄運降臨在自己頭上, 要怎麼跟開車的人商量呢? 你可以說:

Please park somewhere close to a bathroom.

除了尿急, 還有一些其他身體狀況, 妳會想請司機停車:

I'm hungry. Can we stop and get a bite to eat?
我餓了. 能不能停下來找點東西吃?

Can we stop at the next restaurant?
等一下碰到餐廳能不能停下來？

I'm feeling a little carsick. Could we pull over for a bit?
