 1 子音連母音 (Linking with Vowels)：

當一個字以母音開頭，它前面那個字的最後面的子音自然與它連結。

       Have a seat 說成 Hava seat

       Take it easy說成 Takit easy

　   又因 take的 k 與 it 連結，為了更好講，將 /k/ 改成 /g/ 如國音的˙ㄍ。

  2 連接相同子音 (Linking Identical Consonants)：

      當一個字的尾音與下一個字的第一個音相同或相似時，兩個字共用這個音，如

      I've got a bad day 說成 I've got a baday

      I'll see you at two 說成 I'll see you atwo

      space shuttle 說成  spashuttle

  3 of 連接子音：

     有兩種，一種是of 後面接子音的情形，如 I'm ouda(out of) money. Money以子音為首，故 of 的f即省略；另一

    種是 of 後面接母音的情形，如 Mosda vas (Most of us) are students。
