(A: Alice and T: Tracy are talking about plans for the weekend.) |
A: |
Tracy, what have you planned for the weekend?. |
T: |
I'm going to Chingtienkang with some of my classmates. I think it'll be a lot of fun. What are you going to do? |
A: |
Well, I have to do some shopping, but some books, and whatnot. If I still have some time, I 'll go see the new Chou Jun-fa movie at the Ambassador in Hsimenting. |
T: |
That sounds good. I'd like to see that movie with you, but I 've already committed myself to go to Chingtienkang with my classmates. Do you have any idea what I should bring with me when I go hiking this weekend? |
A: |
Food is very important, because there are no food stores in the mountains. Also, you might want to bring your camera, because the scenery up there is spectacular. |
T: |
Oh good! I'd like to take some good pictures to send to my folks back home. By the way, do you have any homework this weekend? |
A: |
Sure I do, but I don't want to worry about it until Sunday night. |
T: |
Sunday night??!! Remember Alice: Haste makes waste. |
A |
But Tracy, I study very hard and diligently all week long. I need time to unwind. Remember this: All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy. |
T: |
Touche! Maybe I should also wait until Sunday night. |
