課程目標︰

練習英文寫作﹐以改進英文語言的正確和流暢度﹐以及邏輯組織和分析批判能力。

 

教學方法︰

  1. 改進英語寫作的不二法門就是練習、練習、練習。因此本課每週都有寫作作業﹐希望讓同學能有不斷練習寫作的機會。

  2. 同時﹐本課將配以有趣的英文影片和閱讀文本﹐以激發同學思考的深度和廣度。

  3. 視同學的語言能力﹐本課將搭配文法練習。

  4. 為了解決同學個別的寫作問題﹐本課設有individual conferences-也就是老師對學生個別指導時間。

Requirements and Grading Policy:
Reading before class, active participation in class and online discussion areessential.  Three absences (from online discussion) constitute reason for failing the course.  If you have to be absent, please let the teachers know beforehand. No plagiarism!

Grading Policy:
* 3 Papers (with drafts; of unit 2 - 4) :60%
* final exam:20%
* online discussion and class participation:20% (Three absences means failing the course)
