Course Description
Intercultural communication in business is important to all business students and anyone who intend to work in the field of international business. This course aims to increase students' intercultural communication competence, facing cultural diversity and major challenges in communication so that students can develop confidence to succeed in modern workplace.
The course first introduces relevant theories followed by practical workshops. A case study approach will be used to explore issues in cross-cultural conflict and resolution in the business context. A wide range of communicative activities will be employed, encouraging students to think critically and solve problems collectively. At the end of course, students are expected to develop their oral communication skills as well as cultural awareness for any business practice.
