Besides continuing to improve their English, by the end of this course, students should be able to
·        Understand major aspects of modern American culture
·        Read American newspapers and magazines with greater ease and understanding, and
·        Discuss American films with greater understanding;
·        Think about the issues of the culture they situate through reading and discussing different culture.

除了持續改進英文能力之外，本課修畢後，學生應該可以
·          了解美國文化的主要層面；
·            閱讀美國報紙較得心應手；
·          更透徹地討論美國電影；
·      藉由閱讀與討論不同的文化，來思考自身所處文化裏的議題。
