這門課幫助學生透過「英文」這個語言來學習日常生活中所謂 cuisine「美食/烹飪」的基礎知識、以及一道美味的「料理」在歷史、文化上到底是如何產生的。課程結合生動有趣的多媒體素材，並透過精選的文章/紀錄片/影片閱讀，幫助學生建立「烹飪」的基礎概念，進而學習料理中的不同面向，如食材、調味、烹飪器具、料理法、菜色的類別，最後透過紙本食譜以及影片食譜的自主閱讀，自己也能複製/作出一道美味的料理。

This course aims to help students learn culinary arts and the food culture by English. The learners will understand how a cuisine is produced culturally and historically. By using various kinds of learning materials including multimedia clips and thematically selected articles and recipes, the learners will gradually establish the basic culinary competence and then develop the ability to self-create his or her own cuisine.
