Eating The Turkey On The Christmas Day

In the traditional Christmas, the turkey is necessary. However, in the Europe and the U.S.,     especially America, the turkey is no more than a common meal. Also, on the two most important Day, the Thanksgiving and the Christmas, the turkey is a traditional food. The tradition has already lasted for about three hundred years. It is said that on the Christmas. In 1620, a huge number of immigrants from England arrived at a mountain in America. At that time, the life resource was lack. There was only the turkey in the mountain. Accordingly, they caught the turkey and then took it as a meal in the festival

The Gingerbread House

The legend has said that the ginger was an expensive spice in the Crusade. People at that time would use it in the important festival such as the Christmas and the Easter. The ginger can make the cake and the rid of the cold. Gradually, the gingerbread house becomes the snack related to the Christmas.

Some western people used to have dinner with pork on the Christmas Day. In England or America, people even like to put an apple into the pig¡¦s mouth. It is said that the custom originated in the big family because only the big family could finish eating a pig in one night.

Besides, everyone should touch the dough and then made a wish. Finally, a coin was hid in the dough. The one who happened to eat the coin in the pudding was said to have good luck in the following new year.
