Second, a sentence could be one
simple sentence containing the above mentioned
components. However, very often it contains two clauses:
a main and subordinate clause. Thus the sentence turns
out a complex sentence, compound sentence, or
compound-complex sentence depending on what type of
clauses the subordinate clause is. We may use the
sentences mentioned in section I to make a
compound-complex sentence by combining them together. |
