There are several problems the school is in. First, the
parents do not pay attention about their children so
that they cannot understand what situations are in
school. If something happens to students and the school
does not take action, parents will feel sorry because
nobody knows what troubles their sons or daughters are
in. Without encouragement, youngsters don¡¦t know how to
love people and make contribution to the society. All
these are because parents and school don¡¦t have a
communication to understand what they do for children.
Second, the school doesn¡¦t have good administration on
students. When students are absent, it can be serious
problems like drug abuse, possession of guns, campus
violence, and so on. It could produce a lot of problems
in school. Third, the school does not have a powerful
authority. The principal cannot decide anything by
himself. Even he cannot impose punishment on an unruly
student. As a result, the discipline in school is not
maintained. The environment around school is
complicated. It is filled with drugs, rival gangs, and
violence. To keep students safe, the school hires
security guards and an assistant principle whose duties
include maintaining discipline. Consequently, students,
who possess drugs are gang members and violating rules.
They are expelled and the school does not give one more
chance to reform. Finally, the students go astray. The
attitude is passive for those students. That is why the
school can¡¦t be better than before. |

|
First, students and parents are not fond of
participating in school affairs. Second, their tuition
costs higher since there aren¡¦t enough subsidies from
government. Not only parent cannot afford high tuitions
for their children but also the school cannot provide
advanced equipments for learning efficiency. Although
the school have high expectation on students, it doesn¡¦t
pay much attention to help gifted students for their
future. They only support a few such students to win
honors and prizes in state science fair competitions.
Most students suffer high pressure to study. Their
enrollment is lower than before. If there are teachers
or staffers, who have bad behaviors, the principle
cannot dismiss them. He must handle a lot of processes
in order to solve it; meanwhile, they cannot assure
students¡¦ right. They emphasize the required courses but
ignore the extracurricular activities as well as sports.
Students are crazy about trendy courses such as interior
design but they are not offered. Students cannot get the
balance between mind and body. |
