Outline

            When writing a composition longer than 600 words or so, you need to plan your writing. At first, you need to focus on certain main points on a topic. You then list main ideas and supporting detail. Finally, you invent a title to describe the theme of your composition. A standard format of an outline is like the one below:

Color Indication:

Blue: Introduction paragraph with Thesis Statement and Conclusion

Purple: Topic Sentence with main idea

Green: Major Support as second degree support

Red: Minor Support as third degree support by specific examples, evidence, or
           personal experience
